I just thought that due to the often confusing flashback / flashforward situations in Adam/Eve, now that the final chapter has been published it might be helpful for those that have read it all to have a timeline of events!
It also contains a few little details about some backstories that i left out of the main story

1940 – Dina Caliente born
1960 – Adam born
1964 – Dina Caliente has a child with Don Lothario named Davina. Don leaves Dina to raise her on her own.
1976 – Adam starts intimate relationship with his mother.
– Dina marries a man named Drew. They have no children together.
1980 – Adam and his mother have a child, Ophelia.
1983 – Priest in Sunset Valley burns down Adam and his mother’s house due to the sin within. Adam’s mother dies.
– Adam and Ophelia run away, Ophelia is taken in to care when Adam is deemed unfit to be a father.
1985 – Adam moves back to Sunset Valley. A week after arrival he rapes and brutalises Janice Kapoor.
1989 – Adam has a fling with Davina Caliente. She falls pregnant with his children – Fatima and Eve. He doesn’t know about it.
1990 – Dina’s husband Drew dies and leaves her his fortunes.
1993 – Davina leaves Eve and Fatima with Dina so she can go and see Adam again. She doesn’t return to Dina’s house for a month. Dina keeps Fatima and Davina leaves with Eve.
- Adam and Davina’s relationship grows. She moves in with him and brings Eve. He proposes to her after a few months and she rejects him. He murders her in a fit of rage and is admitted to a psychiatric hospital/prison.
- Eve is taken in to care, Fatima stays with Dina.
– Adam meets Violet-Eyed Jacob in the unit. Jacob talks to him about purity and creation and Adam’s ideas begin to grow.
1995 – Agnes Crumplebottom’s sister Cornelia moves out of their shared home and marries Gunter Goth. Agnes slowly becomes more lonely and retreats in to herself.
1996 – Ophelia is signed on to a modelling agency. Her love for fashion grows. She becomes more and more haunted by nightmares about water and floods.
– Adam rapes and murders a nurse in the prison/hospital – he cutts off her breasts and bites out her tongue to symbolise the fragile nature of sex and its representations. Jacob told him to.
– Janice Kapoor starts relationship with Andrew Jackson, the future mayor of Sunset Valley. She doesn’t tell him, and never does, about her inability to carry children after being raped by Adam. She is plagued by guilt and paranoia.
1998 – Ophelia has vivid vision when on the beach in Sunset Valley of the town flooding and only the purest humans being saved by living a new life in the Goth Mansion. She tries to warn people but is ignored. She’s dropped from her agency for fears of mental disabilities.
2002 – Jacob let out of the psychiatric hospital.
2003 -Dina diagnosed with breast cancer.
– Eve runs away from home and goes to Dina’s house. Dina kicks her out due to her illness. Eve, in a temper, claims that she wishes Dina had died instead of her real mother.
- Fatima has her first kiss with her next door neighbour’s daughter, Amy. She then kisses Amy’s brother Kyle. She decides that they’re both quite nice so settles on bisexuality – Dina finds her scientific approach to sexuality amusing and healthy.
2004 – Adam (due to essentially seducing people) convinces everyone he’s sane and moves back to Sunset Valley. He tracks down Ophelia and she tells him about her vision. He then finds Jacob and they start to plan.
– Dina given the all clear and she makes a full recovery from her fight with Cancer.
– Ophelia nearly run over by Thornton Wolff. Ophelia takes him back to her house and he befriends Adam.
– Jacob convinces Adam to shave his hair off to symbolise a return from Adam’s ‘dark place’ and a new purity of soul. This later becomes Adam’s Children’s symbol.
2005 – Fatima falls in love with Amy and they have a short relationship. The town is a bit freaked out by their public displays of affection but Dina stands up for them and tells everyone where they can stick it. Amy and Fatima break up, however, because Fatima prefers Amy’s brother Kyle.
– Andrew Jackson proposes to Janice Kapoor. She accepts.
2006 – Adam approaches Agnes Crumplebottom after doing some research on her history. He seduces her and makes her love him so that she’ll join his cause, but their relationship doesn’t properly start.
– Fatima gets a tattoo on her arm. Dina likes it and gets a small tattoo of a heart on her hip too.
2007 – Eve returns to Sunset Valley and tries to move in with Dina again, but Dina turns her away. Adam sees her and draws her in – he’s aware that she’s Davina’s child, but unaware that she’s his child too. He lures her in to his cause slowly but she doesn’t officially join.
– More and more people join Adam’s Children. Thornton joins after his wife leaves him – he goes to Adam for emotional support and Adam uses his fragile state to push him in to signing up. The town’s becoming more aware of their presence. Agnes is seen talking to herself.
2008 – Eve officially joins Adam’s cause after a row with Dina.
– Adam uses Agnes to get in to the Goth mansion. She kills her sister and her sister’s family for him and they use the house as a base.
– Andrew Jackson elected as Mayor.
– Andrew speaks out against Adam’s Children.
– When Agnes moves out of her house, Janice and Andrew move in to it. They get married there. Agnes burns down the house and kills Andrew and the wedding guests because he spoke out against the cause.
- One day, towards the end of the year, Adam’s Children take to the streets and massacre hundreds of innocent civillians who refuse to join Adam’s cause. Eve warns Fatima and Dina. Fatima and Dina shave their heads to try and blend in.
– Agnes sees Fatima on the street and tries to kill her, but Fatima pushes her in to a lake and runs away. Eve tells Adam and Agnes that she has killed Fatima and Dina.
– Any survivors of the massacre either go in to hiding or leave town. Janice hides in the woods.
– Eve starts an illegal relationship with Thornton.
– Adam’s Children cut off all communication to the outside world. They block the roads and cut the telephone and internet lines. The outside world barely notices.
– Dina and Fatima hide in their house.
2009 – Work begins on destroying the houses and buildings and roads of Sunset Valley to make way for Adam’s idea of Eden.
– Dina finds Janice in the town centre and takes her home.
– Janice, Dina and Fatima run from their house and hide in a nearby park.
– Agnes finds Janice, Dina and Fatima. Dina attacks Agnes – Janice and Fatima run away. Agnes takes Dina back to the mansion and she is held in the attic. Adam cannot kill her because he feels that they are connected by Davina and Eve.
– Thornton and Eve try to run away together but Ophelia catches them. They are held prisoner in the attic too. Adam decides that their relationship should be made legitimate so he forces them in to marriage. In his emotional state he sleeps with Agnes for the first time. She falls pregnant.
– Jacob and the others are killed when they demolish the lighthouse and they’re crushed by the debris.
– Janice begins to see visions of people telling her to trust Adam and not Fatima. Janice attacks Fatima but she forces Janice to realise that she didn’t kill Andrew. Janice continues to see people.
– Fatima begins to hatch a plan for revenge on Adam.
– The floods start to come in and destroy what is left of the town.
- Agnes tells Adam she’s pregnant and declares her love for him. He beats her and throws her out. In her despair she kills herself.
– Fatima kills Thornton (without knowing what he means to Eve) on the night of the wedding. Janice accidentally kills Eve and then kills Adam.
– The floods entirely submerge the town apart from the hill upon which the mansion sits.
– ONE person survives the floods and the purges.
